Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre Limited (SCDT) is registered with the Commissioner of Charities as a Charity with IPC status under the Charities Act.
Apart from its continual effort to preserve and promote Chinese dance in Singapore, SHHKDT is also dedicated to further exploring and developing different expressions of Chinese dance, as well as integrating Chinese dance into the local community.
We welcome you to make a donation or contribute your time and expertise in our programmes and projects.
As an arts charity organisation, your donation sum will be matched by the Cultural Matching Fund, dollar-to-dollar, so that the impact of your generous contribution is doubled. Your contribution is greatly appreciated, as every small sum will make a significant impact to the growth of our company.
With the support of the government, all existing qualifying donors (i.e. individuals, companies, trusts, bodies of persons, Hindu joint family) will be entitled to 250% tax deduction for donations made from 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2018 (both dates inclusive).
All existing qualifying donors should furnish your name, tax reference numbers (e.g. NRIC/FIN/UEN), contact number and mailing address to us when making a donation. We will then mail out the tax-deductible receipt as well as provide your donation details to IRAS so that a tax deduction for your donation will be automatically included in your tax assessment.
Your donation is further amplified with the help of the Cultural Matching Fund (CMF). This fund is set up by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) to provide dollar-for-dollar (1:1) matching grants for private cash donations to arts and heritage charities and Institutions of Public Character (IPC).
